The location initially although it really was a little gem

Set in some lovely gardens with some delightful views. The room was beautiful and had everything that I needed.

Beautiful location. Quiet. Great staff. Convenient for Bakewell and surrounding area including Chatsworth.

Coffee could have been a bit stronger :))

Very quiet and peaceful location, quality property with comfortable bed. Spacious room, appreciated the addition of fresh ground coffee in the room. Easy parking and walk into Bakewell

The fixed breakfast time meant I had to miss it on day one due to 8 am commitment. Flexibility would have been welcome. WiFi very weak in room two frequently dropping out. Plumbing issue meant no hot water in bathroom basin for the weekend. A rate reduction would have been welcome

The quiet location and tasty breakfast. There was a good selection of drinks on the tea/coffee tray. The shower was easy to use, and there were complimentary toiletries.

The pillows were too soft.

Not much to put here if I was being picky I’d like plumper pillows.

This is a stunning property with warm, welcoming hosts. Liz is very interesting and charismatic - very informative and full of great anecdotes. The surroundings and outlook are amazingly beautiful, peaceful and quiet - such a change from the noisy city centre where we live. We appreciated the little extra touches such as the premium quality hand wash and lotion! So many places don't supply moisturiser. Also the sachets of decaff coffee and hot chocolate and REAL ground coffee in the room. The hosts were on site and available for any issues that should arise during our stay. We did experience one housekeeping problem, which was quickly rectified. There is a lovely garden area above the property which we checked out but didn't get around to using.

We would have preferred not to have had to make our breakfast choices the night before. Also having to eat at a set time wasn't ideal. We would have preferred self-serve for the cereals/yogurt etc. rather than having to request these in advance along with the cooked items. Although not an issue for us, be aware that the accommodation is a (very scenic) 15 minute walk from the town centre. But if you like walking, this is the place for you!
