Very quiet, very clean, very good breakfast ( catered for 2 coeliacs).

The shower was complicated and there was no means of getting the bath plug to release the water.

Plas Dolau Country Estate is a truly special place with so much to love. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside — ideal for relaxing, enjoying nature, or exploring nearby Aberystwyth. The estate has a historic charm, with characterful buildings and spacious grounds that give it a warm, welcoming feel. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished with everything we needed. There was plenty of space to relax, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and restful. We also appreciated how well-kept the communal areas were — everything felt cared for and maintained to a high standard. Another highlight was the sense of calm and escape the property offers, while still being just a short drive from the coast and town. It’s the perfect balance of rural tranquillity and convenient location. Most of all, we loved the warmth and hospitality of the hosts — Sam & Beth clearly put a lot of love into the property, and it really shows.

the stay was everything we could have wished for, cosy, clean with really friendly people. It was a 30th Birthday for my daughter and will be remembered for ever.

There was plenty of space

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the kettle leaked really badly when trying to make a drink, the tv bracket was loose so it was difficult to position to watch, the regulation of the temperature of water in shower was more or less impossible to control & my partner & myself were scolded with hot water several times whilst trying to shower. It was advertised that poached eggs for breakfast was served with “sourdough” bread…..this was certainly NOT the case. Reception at breakfast from the host was rather “cold” on our first morning, so much so, we decided to skip breakfast on the day of our departure. So overall, not a great experience at all.
