Jonathan could not do enough for us ,the location was superb as we enjoying walking and its dog friendly the room was spotless and breakfast was very good we will be returning.

"Comfortable stay in characterful house with welcoming host"

Comfortable stay in great location for walks. The host was very helpful in sorting out the heating when I got cold in my room on first day - and it's lovely to sit in front of the log fire in the guests’ lounge. Breakfast options are plentiful and thoughtfully prepared. Room was tastefully furnished and the bed was very comfortable.

Not a dislike - just for information: The room with shower has a very compact bathroom. Latest time for breakfast is 08:30 Parking on the drive is possible but a bit tight - and there are gates to open and close. It is easy to park outside on the quiet road - nearby if not outside the property.

I have to say this place was absolutely amazing, my wife and I agreed this was the best b & b that we have ever stayed at, Jonathan our host was fantastic from start to finish, property is beautiful and immaculate, food at Breakfast was beyond expectation, if this property was on four in a bed on TV they would be giving it 15 out of 10 it was that good ! Well done to all concerned, if we’re back in the area it will be the first place we look up for sure !

Everything. Jonathan is a loverly host and beautiful human being. The service from when we arrived to leaving was exceptional. The house is well appointed and very cosy: perfect for wet walks in the Peak District. The breakfast was delicious. We were sad to leave.

An ironing board would be really helpful. Being able to use the fire in the bathroom would also be brilliant, but these are just small things. The stay was really really good.
