"A lovely weekend in a great B&B well positioned for hill walking and trips into Buxton."

The owner, Jonathan, was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. The vegetarian breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of options which changed daily.

Without a doubt one of the nicest B and B’s we have ever been to. The character of the property, location, layout and room was beautiful. Jonathon is an amazing host, warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Felt honoured to stay in his lovely home. Breakfast was wonderful with warm fresh bread juices, choice of food etc.

Wouldn’t change a single thing.

The best stay ever! We really enjoyed staying at Sunnyside. Jonathan was super helpful and nice. We were provided with lists of things we could do and restaurant recommendations. The room was beautifully furnished with antique furniture. Cookie jar and fresh milk for tea/coffee in the room was very thoughtful. The breakfast was delicious, served with fresh bread and homemade jams!!! Ideally located with a picturesque view and a short drive to Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne town.

Beautiful property full of interesting artefacts. The bedroom was furnished to a high standard - lovely decor and furnishings. Jonathan couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. And an excellent breakfast too !

Fantastic room, furnished very tastefully with great view and gorgeous bathroom with roll top bath. Breakfasts were outstanding - fresh warm bread every morning with home made delicious preserves, plus a wide selection of options to choose from each day including home made smoothies and parfaits! Hosts so friendly and helpful and happy for us to bring our dog so it was perfect.

"Very relaxing and enjoyable stay"

Gorgeous house and great location for exploring the local area. We were very well looked after by Jonathan and Jane, including with absolutely delicious vegetarian breakfasts and fresh cookies in our room. They were very knowledgable about walks in the local area, which we found helpful (and there is fantastic walking directly from the house). The room and bed were very comfortable. We loved meeting their friendly dog and cat too!
