"Holmeshead Farm was a sweet location and place to stay while in the Lake District."

The view from our room of the garden, farm adjacent to the property, and the hills was lovely. The owners were friendly, helpful in providing restaurant/pub suggestions and options, and accommodated our request for an earlier than normal breakfast the morning we left.

if you must ‘work’ while on holiday, keep in mind the WiFi is slow.

The surroundings are so peaceful but a bit difficult to find initially. Fabulous cooked breakfast. Lovely log fire in lounge. Host was very attentive to our needs.

The en-suite shower room was ok but the shower tray etc needed updating.

"a warm welcome and a perfect host, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful."

the property was excellent, a traditional farmhouse with a great view of the lake and gardens.

the approach road is not for the faint hearted! but once travelled the destination is worth it!
