Meadowbank

Great location for exploring the Lake District. Meadow bank is easy walking distance to centre of Ambleside. There are plenty of breakfast options and it tasted great too. The host was also very helpful with tips and local knowledge which helped enhance our stay.

Guys that runs the place is extremely friendly and helpful. Suggested places that are good for hiking and has good knowledge of the area. Lovely guy. Good breakfast incredible views.

Mike was incredibly accommodating after I missed the first day of check-in due to car issues. I was able to check-in earlier the following day. Breakfast was top-notch in the dining room with great views of the garden and surrounding fells. Free parking and WiFi. Clean and tidy room with comfy bedding. Great location with easy access to Ambleside centre, close to bus stop and surrounding hike trails. Highly recommend!

If really pushing it - the info sheet in the room could be made into a booklet to include the history of the house, top 10 attractions, restaurants, hikes etc, the nearest supermarket, A&E/Urgent care and emergency dentist in Ambleside.

Mike, the owner was very friendly & made sure we had everything we wanted. Room & shower room were spacious. Free on site parking. Breakfasts were delicious & menu choice was really good.

Small shower cubicle. Husband said bed wasn't comfy for him. Situated on the outskirts of the village.

Mike is very friendly and efficient and runs the place very well. We had a lovely stay and breakfast consisted of all the heart desires. Although Meadowbank is on the main road between Ambleside and Keswick we couldn't hear any traffic. .

The location meant that we were very close and an easy walking distance into Ambleside centre. There was a bus stop only a few minutes walk away providing easy means of transport to Grassmere, Keswick, Windermere, Bowness and Kendal if you preferred to simply park your car and leave it for the duration of your stay. Ample parking for guests and Mike was extremely helpful on our arrival throughout the duration of our stay and on our departure. We would without hesitation recommend the property to stay at.
