Yosemite Rose Bed and Breakfast

The staff was very kind and welcoming. The house is full of beautiful details about their family history. Very quiet and peaceful place. The rooms have a fan that was enough for a cool night (there’s no AC). The breakfast was fantastic!

Location was great but most of all was their hospitality. Made us feel right at home!

The breakfast was fabulous and the facility is gorgeous. Katherine and Donald are incredibly kind, thoughtful and generous hosts. They did everything to make sure we were taken care of and comfortable and my parents enjoyed spending time with them, chatting. This is the perfect place to stay with family and it's incredibly comfortable and the food is incredible.

I think the only issue is that everything is a bit far in Yosemite, you need to be prepared to drive everywhere.

The hosts were amazing, and incredibly sweet. We were able to store our food in their fridge, and they packed us wonderful to go breakfasts. The actual breakfast was only served between 8-9, and since it takes about an hour to get into the park, we really wanted to be in the park by 7/8. We missed breakfast both days, and were having a hard time trying to decide if we should get to the park first or potentially miss great parking and start our day late by staying for breakfast... The location was amazing though, and we saw so many deer.

The price felt too steep for what we were getting. We picked somewhere last minute, and this was the best available option. But I'm not sure it's worth the money, if the main reason you're going is to be in Yosemite. If you're not as worried about maximizing your time in the park, and can spend more time at the property - it may be more worth it.

The whole experience was awesome. Don and Kathryn are great hosts and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Rachel cooked us breakfast, and they have to be the best pancakes I've ever eaten.

Air conditioning wasn't great in our room

We absolutely loved staying at Yosemite Rose. We stayed at the cottage for 3 nights which has a bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen downstairs and an additional bedroom with an ensuite upstairs with a separate entrance. We are a family of 3 so didn’t end up using upstairs and were very comfortable in the charming lower level of the cottage. The property is run by a wonderful couple who we had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with in the main house that has 7 additional bedrooms. If we do return we will stay in the main house next time that includes an amazing gourmet breakfast. The cottage has its own kitchen hence breakfast not provided. The property is located on a large piece of land with amazing grounds. A beautiful property, wonderfully designed and you can tell a lot of heart and soul has gone into the design of the property. Every detail in the decor is charming and has a wonderful story. To top it off, they also have 4 dogs, 4 horses and over 120 acres of land. Location of the property is about 25 minutes away from the Yosemite National Park gate and very close to the Groveland Center where there are multiple restaurants, supermarkets etc.

We loved the property but if there was anything the wifi in the cottage wasn’t as strong as the main house. It kind of worked in our favour though as we spent the evenings playing cards, board games and spending quality family time as opposed to being glued to devices in this wonderful place.
