Red Tail Ranch

Loved the private hot tub and porch to relax in after a long day At Yosemite. Loved the closeness to Yosemite and the beautiful drive to get there. It was well-set up for our needs.

Wish there was a trash can in the main room and maybe paper towels to clean messes, but those are minor.

Very nice place in a ranch. Wonderful and quiet. Bring your own food a prepare yourself diner, whatching the sunset. Lots of birds. That’s all you will hear.

It is one hour drive to Yosemite valley

The accommodation was beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. There was plenty of space outside to relax and sit comfortably, and the private hot tub was fantastic — a great addition to our stay. The host was very helpful, providing information about local places to visit and even letting us use his fridge freezer in the garage, which was a huge help as we had a lot of food and drink to keep cool. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with excellent hospitality.

The only small downsides were that the outdoor grill wasn’t working during our stay (despite our best efforts to mend it), so we ended up cooking all our meals on a single pan burner, and the fridge freezer in the room was quite small. If you’re planning a full self-catering holiday where you bring all your food with you and prepare all your meals, you might find it a bit limiting unless the BBQ is repaired and there’s access to more refrigeration space. That said, these were minor inconveniences in what was otherwise a fantastic stay, and they didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the property and the excellent hospitality.

No issues at all

Amazing location, great setup, very comfortable and clean. Quiet and secluded, perfect location to stage ambitious hikes in Yosemite. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.

Breakfast listed as included during booking process, informed that breakfast is not included but only after booking confirmed.

The check in and check out process was easy and flexible.

There was something crawling around in the attic at night, the cutlery was used and dirty, the shower head could’ve been better. The value for money wasn’t great.

Remote, beautifully kept, close to the small town to get a bite to eat

Perfect location for Yosemite and everything you needed to stay around, eat and rest your legs for the next day.

The property is at quite location - close enough to Yosemite that you can drive in every day for exploring. The check-in process was smooth and Rachel was very helpful with all instructions. My partner and I had a few additional requests which Rachel was happy to facilitate. The rooms were very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The property is close to Groveland for groceries and restaurants, if needed. The property had provided a dossier with local info, which was very useful during our stay.

The kitchen area was quite congested and was difficult to make tea/coffee in the limited space.
