Nice quiet location, a gated property with a spacious garden, great for the dog who also enjoyed her stay. Inside the decor, is beautiful boho eclectic. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay one to remember. I loved all the attention to detail,velvet cushions, lighting, chandeliers. Breakfast was great served on silverware and china. So decadent.

A couple of issues with the bathroom that the host said he would deal with. Patchy Wi-Fi which made my work activity a little difficult. Might not be the place for you if you don't like dogs but it did not bother us and she was very friendly!

It was beautifully decorated, very dog friendly, enclosed garden and amenable host. Will book again.

Unfortunately had trouble having a hot shower.

The location was very central but tucked away and quiet. Secure parking too. Room was amazing, so much attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious, good choice and elegantly served in dining room. Staff so very friendly and helpful too!

My stay at Ravenscroft B&B was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. From the moment you approach through the huge iron gates, you get a sense of grandeur. Behind them lies a beautifully kept garden, rich with greenery and natural stone features, creating a peaceful and elegant setting that feels almost like stepping back in time. Inside, the house continues to impress. The décor is grand yet tasteful, with stunning chandeliers, period features, and carefully chosen artwork that reflect the building’s heritage. There’s a real appreciation for history throughout, giving the entire place a unique atmosphere that blends sophistication with warmth. The room itself was immaculate and incredibly comfortable, featuring a beautiful four-poster bed that added to the sense of luxury and tradition. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, from the furnishings to the overall presentation, making it easy to relax and unwind. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel genuinely welcome. The hosts were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about both the property and their guests’ experience. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was another highlight—freshly prepared, delicious, and served with care. It was the perfect start to the day and matched the high standard set throughout the stay. Overall, Ravenscroft is far more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Combining historic charm, elegant design, and genuine hospitality, it stands out as a truly memorable destination. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mansfield and would happily return.

Beautiful property, great hosts, and a fantastic breakfast

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us throughout our stay. The breakfast was very filling and set us up perfectly for the day—especially for our long drive back to Cornwall. We also loved meeting their two adorable dogs, Daisy and Fanny, and we hope Daisy is feeling better!
