Duck Inn Lodge

Comfy room w/ balcony, loved riverside view from main lounge areas, loved breakfasts, and kids loved ordering their own choice and LOVED the waffles.. loved private check in, door code all around.was convenient! The gentlemen in charge were helpful and friendly... They pleasantly facilitated a last minute change in plans for us with a smile... Much appreciated.

Location was in a quiet area. Parking was great. The lobby was spacious, and inviting with large picture windows overlooking the river. Nice touches like local wildflowers on the tables and comfortable pillows on the couches. The breakfast was excellent; felt like a B&B. The bathroom had been recently re-modeled. The bed was comfortable, I really liked that the entrance and room access were keyless (used an access code).

The pillows were a little flat (I wish I had brought my down pillow from home). It was warm and the air conditioner was not well-adjusted, but we could open the windows and get fresh cool air after the sun went down (that helped). The place is a little dated, but it was clean.

The bed was comfortable, room was quiet, and the staff (Todd and Alex) were awesome! They were able to accommodate my food allergy and prepared a separate breakfast for me.

The electronic check in using your phone needs an update as it requires taking a photograph of your driver's license. However, when I expressed concern to Todd about my DL data being stored on a server he stated they just took ownership of the lodge two weeks prior, and had not had time to change the electronic check in procedure yet. He agreed that part of the check in procedure needs to go away as chain hotels do not make such a requirement.

Great place to stay. The lodge is very nice, in a great location and the staff was exceptionally friendly! Will definitely stay here again.

The homemade breakfast was incredible. The beds were even more comfortable than I had expected. Really comfortable. Loved the private patio and bathtub!

Beautiful lodge with lots of character and large, comfortable rooms. However, the best part is the really marvellous homemade breakfast! We had frittatas and blueberry muffins and waffles - which were so delicious and sooo much better than the packet mix ones they have at most places. The check in process is all online, so you can arrive whenever you like, although Todd and team were really communicative when I had a couple of questions.

We had to pay a little more because apparently booking.com hadn't charged us the full amount. Hopefully they get this sorted
