Il Villino haputale

My friends and I loved our stay at Il Vilino Haputale. The view from the balcony is extraordinary. The rooms were very comfortable. The best part about our stay is the kind host and his family and staff. He truly treated us as family during our stay. The dinner they prepared was wonderful, and he went out of his way to make sure it meet all of our dietary needs and requests. Additionally, the next day he let us store our bags in the room for hours after check out time and would not charge us an additional fee. I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough.

The setting of this guesthouse is superb with incredible views. You’d be hard pressed to get better. The owner is extremely welcoming. He is very knowledgeable and he had some good recommendations of what to do in the area. We enjoyed breakfast very much and we had a Sri Lankan dinner as well which was very good. We felt very welcome. The rooms are fairly basic and there are a lot of steps to get down to the property although none of this concerned us. We enjoyed trips to Lipton Seat and to some local waterfalls. We also chose this guesthouse so we could do the train trip from Haputale to Hatton and back - the station was a 5 minute walk so very convenient.

Nice room and great views from the balcony, the hosts were really nice. The location was also very good.

The location was great for being in Haputale town. Beautiful view too. Plus the owner is very knowledgable and helpful.

It felt a bit “unfinished”. But we spent most if the time outside so it didn’t really matter actually.

Everything. The place is great; stuff is amazing and they cook the best meals. We’ve had dinner then which was tasty and also breakfast was delicious and so big. Rooms are simple, but very clean. They helped us organizing our Lipton seat tour and provided with accurate and good information. Thanks
