-Very kind, hospitable and helpful British host (John) -Cheap and cheerful -Clean -Great location (close to White Sand Beach; large supermarkets, laundries and tasty/cheap Thai restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel) -Great "jungle" atmosphere -High-quality scooters for rent without passport or deposit

Absolutely nothing! Don't waste your money on overpriced resorts and book a cottage at Elephant and Castle.
