"Jungle Paradise"

I've been coming to Ko Chang since 2014 and I have to say that the 'Elephant and Castle' is easily the best place I've ever stayed in terms of overall value, hospitality, atmosphere and location. It's 50 baht to get by truck taxi to White sands beach or a 25 minute walk over the hill (your choice). There are a few places to eat nearby but the best places and widest choice is in White Sands. John is a great host and very friendly and approachable if needed although for the less well travelled he may come across as a bit coarse or rough around the edges he is a true diamond in the rough. The dogs that roam around are super friendly so please don't worry about them. The siting of the bungalows is absolutely perfect being set back a hundred plus metres from the road so hear very little to nothing as you are surrounded by jungle and trees ( pro tip - be on your balcony with a cup of coffee at 6AM for the dawn chorus). The bungalows themselves are simple but clean. The only minor drawback for some would be lack of water pressure in the bathroom but it's not going to spoil your holiday!!!

Elephant and Castle is a little heaven in Koh Chang and John is the perfect owner. We had so much fun. English humor at its finest, unbeatable. Bungalows are spacious and clean. We loved having the dogs around and spend time in the terrace. We rented a scooter and we spent our days easily strolling around the island. Strongly recommended and exceptional value for money. Thanks!!!

Simple and Quite. Great rooms and a big bed. only 700m from the water where you will find a great coffee shop,plus there are many other restaurants with in walking distance

Good location!! Really tasty eatery round the corner as recommended by the friendly hosts

Water pressure was a bit weak but overall wouldn't make a difference on the stay
