Quinta de São Pedro de Vir-a-Corça em Monsanto

The host Ingrid was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely in the garden. I enjoyed sitting in the hammock reading my book!

Beautiful setting at the foot of the mountain of Monsanto. Peaceful and safe. Loved the fresh oranges and lemons picked from the trees of the Quinta! Loved sitting outside to eat our take away dinner and wonder breakfast served in the morning. The hosts were very accommodating!!

Did not know that taking the old Roman road into Monsanto meant climbing a mountain - something you can do once - not meant for walking into Monsanto for dinner and back in the evening. The access to the property is a dirt road which is badly in need of repairs - full of holes and ruts. The room was less than satisfactory. No place for luggage, to put or hang clothing. No place to sit and eat. Very cramped. Bathroom is in the downstairs area which seemed to be waisted space. There is a futon in the downstairs area but nothing else besides a cramped bathroom. Look closely at the pictures of the rooms and ask questions.

Stunning location

A magical property and the hostess was delightful. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. We enjoyed strolling the gardens and surrounding area.

The room I selected had the bathroom downstairs and there was very little space to put anything upstairs. We managed for one night but if staying longer I would select a different room.

Amazing little stone casa/suite decorated with taste and thought in every "touch", incredibly comfy bed with lovely linens, peaceful & idyllic setting (very quiet and away from it all 🙏), delicious breakfast, picking our own oranges (and the tastiest we've ever had), the fountain with mountain spring water for drinking, the Old Roman Road / path to the unbelievable village of Monsanto, and lovely hosts. Many thanks to Ingrid & her husband for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. 😊

beautiful property with the such nice hosts! fun rooms built around the natural geology of the region. Monsanto was a wonderful experience, and the Quinta de São Pedro de Vir-a-Corça really added to the experience.
