Lower Barns Boutique B&B

Janie could not have been a better or friendlier host. This is a b&b par excellence with gorgeous rooms and fantastic facilities in a wonderful rural location. The welcome fruit cake was much appreciated. We really liked the communal breakfast area and it was lovely to talk to fellow guests over a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast accompanied by as much tea as I could drink.

The bathroom was a bit small, but that was a minor inconvenience.

Great peaceful location with great attention to detail in the rooms and the overall ambience. Janie goes to a lot of trouble to ensure your stay with her is very relaxed and comfortable. Great breakfast with other guests, fun to mix with people from other areas of UK and Europe. Highly recommend a stay in this lovely place.

Absolutely nothing !

Comfortable room and friendly hosts. Nice touch to provide two slices of fruit cake upon arrival. Breakfast and shower were adequate. Lovely grounds.

Tiny ensuite for a garden suite room.

Witzige und aussergewöhnliche Ausstattung, Lage sehr ländlich, für mich optimal und unglaublich ruhig. Sehr freundliche Leute, die uns super Tips für Ausflüge gaben. Frisches englisches Frühstück auf Bestellung.

From the moment we arrived we felt we had found ‘a little slice of heaven’ Janie and her sister Jodie were so welcoming. Our super king room was so comfortable that I wanted to bring the bed home with me. The decor is amazing. Janie has used bold colours. Some people who use these colours miss the mark and overdo it and thus making it look over the top and brash. Janie’s use of this colour palette has achieved high end opulence. We have found our happy place and will be returning very soon.

There isn’t anything not to like.

This is our second time here , we just love it , so relaxing and janie is a great host ( not sure where she gets her energy from always on the go and always smiling 😀) gorgeous breakfast and beautiful surroundings.
