The Waterings

Ideally situated to visit St Davids. The shops were a short walk, there were plenty of pubs serving a nice range of dishes and good real ale. The area around St Davids is sublime, with plenty of walks, and excellent beaches. We went body boarding at Whitesands twice. Our room (Captain's) was spacious and comfortable, well appointed bathroom, bed was comfortable. The breakfast arrangements worked very well, there was a good supply of juices, breakfast cereals, milk and yoghurts. A choice of white and wholemeal bread. Coffee bags and sachets of tea and herbal teas. We took the kettle from our room, already filled with water, to have a brew. Good 4 slot toaster. Pretty much perfect, really. Free wifi is always a good thing to have. TV: hardly used it, but it was fine. Comfortable settee for a rainy day.

No downsides.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and well kept, with great attention to detail. A self-service breakfast is provided in a pleasant room looking out onto a courtyard with a pond full of beautiful fish and a view over fields to the sea. There is also a lovely big garden at the front of the property, which is in a quiet, secluded location within easy walking distance of the centre of St David's. Our host Will, who works on the St David's lifeboat, was helpful, friendly and interesting to talk to.

Size of the room, good location

Would be better if there was water and a kettle in the breakfast room

The waterings is in a perfect location as it is right in St David’s. It was self service and there was adequate food for breakfast, albeit no cooked breakfast. The host Will was very friendly. The room was comfortable and well equipped if you should bring in a takeaway. Our first impressions however was that the buildings and gardens we were a little tired looking and perhaps in need of a little tlc. On the whole I would recommend this place to friends. Walking distance to all the pub’s restaurants and shops. Thank you we did have a lovely stay, just being honest about the surroundings.

We just felt the outside of the accomodation is in need up a freshen up and gardens tended to more as the gardens area was beautiful.

Very comfortable and clean large room private yet within walking distance of everything.

Room was spacious. Fridge and supplies provided. Large bathroom and a sitting and di in area. Friendly host. Outside sitting area.

I felt the room needed some tlc

Door had huge gap which draught came through. Windows had black mould on the frames. Sofa was very soft and well worn. Needed thin/light blinds or net curtains on window for privacy as had to close curtains when dressing/undressing.

i have a disability and couldnt negotiate the step into the bath to shower

Basic cerial/toast/croissant type breakfast. Yoghurt, fruit, juice and coffee also provided. Self service buffet style. Excellent very quiet location 10 mins walk from St. David's. 10 mins from the spectacular Pembroke coastal path. Pleasant outside seating/picnic tables. Will is a very and welcoming helpful host. Provision and heating of water for drinks within the breakfast room would be a good facility.
