The Porterhouse Pub & Restaurant Cambridge

Lovely Tipi, garden and bar/restaurant. Evening meal very good. Staff very friendly, happy and helpful. Liked the self service kitchenette, home from home, without the washing up :)

The room was a little small, but fine for a 1 night stay

Loved the idea of the communal kitchen, no hassle for breakfast, beer garden for lunch with family was also excellent

Paid for lunch with debit card, then offered waitress £20 cash tip which she refused because it was a Scottish £20 note - a first for me - also disappointing, the polite thing to do would have been to say thank you.

Continental breakfast available as wanted in kitchen shared with 3 rooms. Lots of fruit and yoghurt. Pastries not the best, but good selection of other things. Kitchen lovely and clean.

No shelf / storage in shower . Bit of a noisy road but it was boiling weather so windows open etc , no-one to blame

The Pub was a delight and the room was comfortable, room to work and comfy bed. Ideal for a business trip, but also for a couples break for the Cambridge area.
