Pennygate Lodge

Good location for visiting different parts of the Island. Very quiet with a nice view of the bay. House with character, beautifully decorated. Tony and the staff made you feel very welcome. Lovely breakfast.

The menu was delicious but didn’t change much for the 6 nights I was there. For a shorter stay it would be fine.

L'endroit est absolument charmant et tellement cosy. On s'y sent tellement bien. Tout est extrêmement propre et calme. Le personnel est très sympathique. Le lit est extrêmement confortable : du matelas au linge de lit. J'y ai fait ma meilleure nuit en Ecosse. Mention spéciale pour le dîner : un des meilleurs repas que nous avons eus en Écosse (meilleur que 2 restaurants cités dans le guide rouge).

Rien : j'aurais dû réserver pour plus longtemps.

Easy check in, spacious and well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds, warm and welcoming lounge. Easy to park, great outlook to harbour over well manicured gardens. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Had to leave early and we were prepared lovely sandwiches to take.

Nothing. Warning however, book ferries well in advance. Almost missed the window which would have meant leaving via Fishnish and adding hours onto our next leg.

The ambience and feel of Pennygate Lodge is very welcoming. It is tastefully decorated throughout and well maintained to a high standard. The proprietors were very friendly, on hand and made us feel very 'at home.' The food was excellent, as was service and presentation. A lovely place to stay and a great location.

Very friendly welcome, beautiful house and comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good to explore the island in different directions.

Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Although we had continental was a good selection, granola excellent. Hotel location was very good, our room had views over harbour.

Very nice food especially beetroot soup
