Dunedin Country House

I think we were the only guests staying, it was very quiet. On arrival we picked up our key from a table in the hall and there was a note saying ‘as we know the bar and restaurant were closed’, actually we didn’t know. The bed was just too small for two adults. It would have been good to have some fruit at breakfast.

Lovely location in Patrington, beautiful grounds very clean and inviting, breakfast was very tasty and well presented

The bar prices 2 drinks were just under £20 !! same two drinks in the village local £8.20

Shower was no good. bath tub is old and damaged on the base.

Breakfast was very good, both menu/food and service. Our annex room and the rooms we used in the main house were well-furnished and equipped.

No restaurant or bar service in the evening meant there was little atmosphere then.

Facilities fabulous but walls in the great house do not allow privacy in certain endeavours. Beautiful cozy room & garden view. Cooked breakfast excellent. Milk for cereals had turned bad (noticed after a bite of cereal) so reported it to staff. She removed the milk, but didn’t replace it to have another try at some cereal! Next guests didn’t seem to miss it.

Music for breakfast was inappropriate for the ambiance of this beautiful country house! The first song used inappropriate language for adults or children! No USB charging point in room.

Good location, breakfast and WiFi. Plentiful parking.

A couple of issues with the room: All the windows could be opened - which is good - but only one of them would stay open without some sort of improvised support. Given the hot weather, that wasn't ideal. Also, I think the windows should have locks, or at least restraints to prevent them being fully opened. As it is, anyone with access to the wraparound balcony would have access to the room. Lighting was poor - particularly the bedside light, but also the overhead lights.

Lovely hotel, location good for visiting family

Very small room, needs a new mattress and we could constantly hear noise from a boiler next door
