"No ordinary B&B, where rural Virginia, creature comforts, history & Appalachian hiking tales meet!"

The Mountain Home structure was 1st built in the early 1800s. The Innkeepers, Scott and Lisa, have devoted 13 years to painstakingly restore this pre-Civil War National Heritage site a few miles from Front Royal, paying exquisite attention to period details, with modern comforts. Sleeping in a 200 year old bedroom in a building that survived the civil war added depth and a felt need to learn more about local history. Beyond historical awe, breakfast was wonderful - all local fare - from fruits to jams.

"Great place to stay on your skyline drive trip!"

Loved this place. Location is great for the Skyline drive, and the breakfast was delicious! Most of it was local/homemade by the hosts, and they were so friendly!

The bed could have been better, but everything else made up for it :)
