It was comfortable and the host was excellent. The breakfast was exceptional!

Homely, cosy and comfortable. A friendly welcome was provided by the host, Deb. Really excellent breakfast with everything you could want and a lot of attention to detail.

Breakfast was very good with a choice of fruit plus cooked breakfast.

We hadn't appreciated that the twin room we booked would be quite so small, with just two cast iron beds, a small table for kettle etc and a room heater. Unfortunately when we arrived the windows had flies on them and also inside the ceiling light. We tried to remove them but some remained overnight. There was nowhere to open bags or suitcases and no room for even a chair. The bathroom was next door and had plenty of hot water. The shower was over the bath,. I cant get in or out of baths so that was a disappointment We used the downstairs living room to sit in the evening and the owner came in to light the fire as the room felt cold and there is no central heating. We did not ask the right questions when booking the room as the owner said they found most people went out in the evenings so did not need tv, and, if they did they streamed on their phones. I don't imagine many people paying for a twin room would expect to spend the evenings out or lying on their bed. But this could be because we are older and expect a certain level of comfort .

The farm only has one lot of guests at a time, so we had the use of a self-contained section of the house with bedroom, bathroom, and a large downstairs sitting and breakfast room. The decor is lovely with soft, calming colours, antique furniture, books, and a large comfy sofa. There are plenty of biscuits, fresh milk, tea, and coffee in the room, and downstairs, there are fruits in a big bowl. Deb lit a fire in the old stone fireplace when we had breakfast. Breakfast was excellent - 5* - with everything we could possibly want, much better than many hotels provide and set in a gorgeous peaceful room.

Only that the feather duvet was too hot for the first night - which was muggy and warm. I'm absolutely sure that if we had asked her, Deb would have changed it for us, but we didn't bother - the second night was more cool and autumnal, and it really wasn't a big issue.

Excellent location for walks. Lovely bedroom and bathroom, bright, spacious and very comfortable. We had very restful nights as the farm is very quiet. Deb prepared us the most delicious breakfast, cooked breakfast and plenty of fresh fruits, yogurts etc. Also the breakfast table was beautifully laid. We would definitely go back.
