Turning Point Bed & Breakfast

We opted to look for another place because Turning Point did not meet our expectations, What was advertised is not what was on the ground

The rooms are so small that you feel like you are squashed in one place and there is no comfort. The staff were not welcoming. We were told the there is a fee of R200 if we checked in early but when we got there, Check in time was 4.00 o'clock

The hosts were very friendly. They were warm and very welcoming. The location is also very good - it is close to malls and shops. Also, it was easy to get deliveries.

location was convenient for my needs. Ŵas fortunate to have helpful, kind neighbours across the road.

The establishment did not have good standards for cleanliness (cockroaches and mice). It was poorly maintained. The owner claimed to be a man of God but was extremely inconsiderate and rude. Although he was informed of my age and that I required limited assistance he advised me to do my reservation through your company. There was no assistance. He and his wife claimed that they had a policy of only accommodating persons under 50yrs old..

The owners of the B&B are really trying their best, they take good care of their guests and they are very open to thoughts about improving. They greeted me so nicely and explained the procedures they follow for both their safety and mine.

What I didn't like was resolved through discussion with the owners 😊

This is a really non-sense BB I have ever seen. The manager, Isaack, is a very frustrated person, very aggressive and abusive. I wonder how he manages to stay on this BB. This BB has no kitchen, no toilet paper in the toilet, and no hot water to bathe in. I personally bathed with cool water this morning. The first day I called Isaak to find out if I can check in at 14h00, he refused and said I must only check in at 16h00. I then checked in around 19:30, and Isaak insisted and charged me extra R200 for late check in. On their website, I never saw the late check in fee. When I tried to verify, he didn't allow me to verify and started harassing and abusing me verbally, Because i didn't want to fight with him, I was forced against my will to give him extra R200 in cash for the sake of peace. On May 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., when I was busy on the phone call, Isaack come in I told me that if I didn't leave right away, I will be forced to pay an extra R200 to him in cash for the late check out. This man, Isaack, has very bad behavior and manners. Never book this guest house. In fact, Booking.com should remove this BB from his list. I checked in on Sunday, May 5, 2024 and left on May 8, 2024, for another guest house because of all non-senses pertaining to the stupid and bad Turning point BB in Kuirlsrviver Capetown.

The staff is friendly

The welcoming, the transparency, the overall experience exceeded our expectation we needed quite and that's what we received as it was not a holidays but for our Son's funeral so we needed the stillness and that was provided thanks so much.
