Plas Esgair

We were welcomed very warmly by the hosts. The room we were allocated only had one bed - I was with my Grandson, Our room was changed with no fuss --- Very comfortable sitting room for guests and large, well appointed dining room

A little remote for our purposes But I could imagine that the peaceful and tranquil setting of the would be a blessing in other circumstances

The breakfast was first class fayre of full Welsh . Fresh mixed fruit and fresh juice, all served in magnificent surroundings by our hosts Martin and Robin.

Entrance a little tired, but once inside front door the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Hosts Martin & Robin were so welcoming, their home has so much character it's a joy to stay in, breakfast was top rate & the views from every window were amazing

Amazing breakfast, warm welcome, proud owners of a lovingly restored masion, wonderful grounds, full of birds and sheep. Lovely decorated room (Japanese room) private bathroom down the hall. Martin and Robin provide an honesty bar and will cook a 3 course meal for tea if required.

Plas Esgair is excellent in all respects. We didn’t just enjoy a weekend away, we felt like we’d time-travelled to a slower, pleasanter world where we could really relax. It felt like we were guests in a grand country house of old, and we so enjoyed the personal, genuinely welcoming service provided by our hosts. We ate at Plas Esgair in the evening as well as at breakfast time, and the food was incredible, as was the company of the other guests. We booked to stay again before we left, it’s that special!

Such an amazing stay! The dinner was simple but absolutely delicious, and the breakfast was just perfect. Thank you so much for the warm and welcoming hospitality—it made the experience truly special.

The property had been beautifully restored by the owners and contained many interesting and unusual decorative objects. Room was comfortable and breakfast delicious. Hosts were very welcoming and our family meal around the large dining table was a highlight of our short stay in Wales.
