Beautiful older property with so much character. The owner was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay comfortable.

Fantastic breakfast, good location.

We were lucky to have a good connection with the owner, Caroline, as she is a lady who has much to tell, is interested in us and we had a lot of good laughs. We stayed for 4 nights in a very comfortable room and had a Downton Abbye experience at breakfast. Caroline was very helpfull and provided us even with a picknick basket to have our evening meal in her great great garden. The house itself is a very interesting building with a very personal touch. Everything was Spic and Span. There is so much to do and see in Somerset and Dorset and we got very good advice. Caroline thank you so much!!

The host was pleasant and took time to show us the property. The beds were comfortable. There was ample parking. The bathroom was a good size and clean.

There was no lock on the apartment door. There was nothing to stop anyone from entering your room and taking your property. I didn't feel safe when sleeping. The premises smelt musty, even with windows open. The place was heavily cluttered with ornaments, pictures, and unnecessary furniture. It's not practical when you have children. Two of the beds had dead moths on them. The curtains in the children's room had mould on them. Breakfast was limited. We had 2 slices of toast between four people! The eggs were uncooked. That was a lack of cutlery, lack of drinks, and lack of napkins. We didn't feel the property rating of 9.8 reflected our experience. The rating was one of the reasons we were attracted to the property.

Everything was perfect. Caroline is a lovely host. We are missing our chats in the morning with her. Breakfast is cooked with fresh ingredients. It was our third visit and hopefully won’t be the last one. We highly recommend!

Caroline was a fabulous hostess. Her home was very welcoming, charming, clean, comfy beds, pillows and an excellent breakfast! She even loaned me a bottle of wine to take to visit a friend! I would highly recommend staying in this lovely part of England!!
