Porch House

Lovely room with a very comfortable large bed - great linen, duvet, toiletries etc. Also loved the fruit bowl, delicious chocolates and home made biscuits in our room. A welcome afternoon tea served in the garden - again with delicious home made cakes. Superb breakfast. Private car park. Great host. Everything about Porch House was 10/10.

Fantastic location right in the centre of Northallerton, wry easy to check in and out. Room was very comfortable with drinks station for coffee/tea etc, fruit in the room and nice little treat of chocolates! Bathroom toiletries well stocked too. Great breakfast with plenty of options. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The breakfast was excellent. I don't eat meat so enjoyed cereals, freshly prepared fruit, toast with home made preserves and chamomile tea. My husband had a very good traditional breakfast. The fresh fruit and biscuits with a good range of drinks to make in our room was also much appreciated. There is plenty of room in the car park and a beautiful garden to enjoy.. Our room was cool in the heat of the day and quiet.. The welcome was excellent as was the service. I will definately go back. Northallerton is a great place to visit and Porch House is close to the centre but beyond the market and pub noise. It is close to the good range of restaurents and cafes. Northallerton still has some unique shops and the pubs are good. We also went for a walk round the reservour at Osmotherly, which is wheel chair, pram and elderly friendly with lots of seats, to enjoy the tranquility and bird song.

The bathroom was small and the shower complicated, but sparklingly clean.

Exceptional guest house, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean, made to feel very welcome with extra treats (fresh roses, fruit, chocolates) which were topped up daily. Lovely view of the garden from our room was a bonus, as was off road, secure, parking. Varied breakfast menu which was both well presented and locally sourced. Very friendly hosts who should be proud of their business, it is a credit to their hard work.

Beautiful little getaway cottage, our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very cosy and had lovely little personal touches. The breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for our lovely hosts. Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning!
