Owners - friendly & welcoming. Attention to detail in room, thought of all needs eg chocs, fruit, refreshments, etc. Tea & cake, waited on like a Queen. Bfast

Wonderful stay, breakfast was really good with locally sourced food. Quiet location but near all amenities.

The owners Charles and Christine were really friendly and informative. The building itself is so beautiful and full of character. The breakfast was first class and tasted amazing. The fresh milk, homemade biscuits, complimentary fruit and chocolates were a really nice touch. Nothing was too much trouble.

On arrival, we were offered tea and cakes in the sitting room, which was a lovely experience, very homely. The location is perfect for visiting the town of Northallerton and the surrounding area. Breakfast was lovely.

The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. The location was perfect for my work trip to the Friarage hospital and in great spot. The property itself was built in the 16th Century and had great charm. Superb full English breakfast.

The breakfast was beautifully presented and had lots of items to suit all tastes. The owners were very welcoming and had lots of information about the history of Porch House. It is situated at the end of the high street and within reach of a variety of shops and businesses.

I only stayed one night and was in the area to visit friends. Porch House had everything I needed, no complaints here

Breakfast was amazing, the location was central to shops, restaurants and cafes.

The house is lovely, with some really beautiful original features. It’s literally at the end of the high street so perfectly placed! Charles and Christine were perfect hosts and it seemed as if nothing was too much trouble for them at all. Breakfast was at a time of our choosing, and there was so much choice. We chose the full English which was cooked by Charles and it was beautiful. Off road parking too which is a lovely bonus.

I can’t really think of anything I’d add here. If I was being really nit-picky, I’d say the mattress was a bit too soft for me, but this is one of those things that’s different for everyone, so really not a sleight against the guesthouse at all.
