Large comfortable room in magnificent listed manor house. Good breakfast. Attentive staff.

TV in room did not work. Bath, though long and deep, was rusty in places.

"Quaint & Idyllic Barton Hall"

Gorgeous property, in a quiet but convenient location not far from the quaint Pooley Bridge. Perfect for a morning run along to Howton, and for family excursions to Aira Force, Penrith & beyond. Fantastic host, and staff - the kids really enjoyed the historic setting. Great breakfast too!

Breakfast was lovely and the location was great, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room was really nice, with a great view from the large bay window. The guest lounge was large and had lots of large comfy sofas. Although our room wasnt ensuite, we had access to a large bright bathroom with bath & toilet, an old style bathroom with bath & toilet and shower room with toilet.

My son and I were competing in a triathlon nearby. We stayed 2 nights. Jacqui was the perfect host. There's a lounge and even a little kitchen so you can cook if needs be. The rooms and bathrooms are quaint/old world/charming. If you have dogs, they are very welcome! 8 rooms only. 3 are ensuite and the others share 3 bathrooms so plenty to go round. Pooley Bridge is 10 minutes walk away where there are 2 shops, a pizza oven, pubs and even a couple of posh restaurants.
