"A perfect relaxing weekend, home from home!"

Generous and varied continental breakfast. Lovely clean,cosy cottag exactly as described on website, in a very quiet but convenient position. Excellent pubs, shops, cafes and pretty walks within a few hundred yards. Our lovely hostess Karen was so welcoming, friendly and helpful, and made our stay an absolute pleasure.

Excellent location Wonderful host Beautiful property Tea & coffee facilities in room including fridge with milk & biscuits plus all varieties of different herbal teas was lovely.

Was a little cold on the first night although there was a portable heater in the room which Katen told us we could use & we found we actually did have to use on the first night only. It was January & bitter cold outside though! Second night was lovely & toasty & no need for the additional heater. Didn't realise the bathroom wasn't actually en suite until arrival. However the bathroom was next door & lovely & clean & fully equipped with toiletries & plenty of towels & a fantastic shower. Bathrobes were provided in the bedroom too obviously for this reason although wasn't used.

"Perfect Yorkshire break"

Beautiful location and property is a 300 year old typically Yorkshire stone building. Karen as host was extremely welcoming and helpful. Accomodation is beautifully furnished with period furniture, absolutely and I mean absolutely spotlessly clean. Bedroom, living room and bathroom is very comfortable and relaxing, a real home from home. Karen's attention to detail is noticeable and, although breakfast is continental rather than full English, it is plentiful, of high quality and even home made bread. We have stayed in many places within the UK but this stay was right up there and a perfect relaxing place to stay in this gorgeous part of the world. Would thoroughly recommend!
