Very comfortable room and good breakfast.

Special shout out to Martin for a sumptuous breakfast, to Maggie for her warmth and understanding, Liselle for ensuring that we arrived safely. Everything was on point. The apartment facilities, comfort, space was excellent. Truly a home away from home. The entire unit is eco friendly

Under context, I stayed in the 4-sleeper family room, and it was absolutely inviting, homey, quaint and had everything I needed. There were 2 large rooms both fitted with a shower and toilet. Shower pressure was adequate, and the water was always warm. The living room and kitchen had a bright open plan area with lots of natural light, just the way I like it. The kitchen was spacious and fully equipped, oven included for those pastry chefs. The best part of it is the enclosed fireplace which served us very well during the winter night. The lodge supplied us with enough wood for the night. When you stay here, you will be woken up by birds singing. We did not try the breakfast because we booked the kitchen for a reason, but I am sure it will be delicious. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in nature and a starry night sky, this place is waiting for you to swipe your credit card.

It is a 3-hour drive from Cape Town, however if you couple your stay with a visit to Muissbosskerm's seafood buffet (just as we did) then the distance is all worth it. The family room is a bit on the premium side of the price for those South African locals. Other than the price, there is not much else not to like.

This property is truly a hidden gem, beautifully furnished with elegant sofas, stunning tables, and thoughtfully curated interiors—an absolute treasure to discover.

I wouldn’t change much, but I’d just like to highlight how much of a difference quality bedding makes. It truly shaped how I perceived my stay—comfort like that leaves a lasting impression.
