Great place - my partner and I spent 4 nights at Costa Norte. You can easily drive anywhere from Ribeira Grande, parking across the street is free, you can get the best ice cream on the island in town (from a small shop on the square). Ricardo who checked us in was very friendly and knowledgable. The housekeepers are nice and everything is cleaned every morning. The owner came by once and was very kind as well. We ended up in the one room without neighbors / not next to a common room (after requesting a quiet room), and were very happy with that! It meant we did have to go downstairs to the shared bathroom, but that was totally okay. While we were there, only two other rooms were booked (one of which had its own bathroom), which meant it was calm and peaceful. We loved it that way! During summer, it's probably busy in the hotel and I think I would have preferred to book a room with my own bathroom then.

- One of the showers didn't have great water pressure. - The beds weren't super comfortable, but good enough for a couple of nights.

Small room with external bathroom, very clean, shared kitchen and fridge, nice terrase, very helpful Ricardo. We got all we need, feel there very good, very quite place, hot water 24h/day. I appriciate a tips for trips from Ricardo.

Very good location. From Ribeira Grande it is basically close to all the attractions on the island. The city itself is interesting and worth visiting. It is also a great place for fans of surfing. The nearby beach has excellent conditions .. Our room was very large and comfortable for 2 people. Everything clean Kitchen and bathroom shared with other residents but never a problem to use them. Cleaned daily. We had a large common dining room and terrace at our disposal. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to using the terrace because it was very windy especially in the evenings and still too cold in the morning. And most importantly, the hostel has great hosts who take care of all the details of your stay and try to help in every situation

we loved to eat out on the terrace. also just a 5 minute walk to the beach

- the shared living room where you can chill - the furnished kicthen with a big fridge and free coffess - the terasse where you can dry your clothes (very nice on this humid Island) - the host replies fast via messages - we received some nice tips on how to visit the Island - easy to park the car as it is not the busiest village, peacefull village :) - in les than 2 hours you can reach every place of the Island, very convenient We booked the double room with twin beds and private separate. The room was spacious and beds were confortable.

The toilet from our separatle private bathroom was not working well (issue when flushing, not very convenient to waste 15min before toilet flushes correctly).

Nice, quite clean place with great location.

Large bed was in fact joined two single beds.
