helpful maps, books & information-acceptable basic accommodation

dirty floors-numerous cobwebs-tired facilities-electric blanket on each bed in middle of heatwave-up to six portable electric room heaters (excessive in middle of heatwave)-misleading advert states on three separate occasions that there are 3 beds when there are just two singles-the owner stated a king size bed could be made from the singles but their length is 6'3" & not 6'6" of a conventional king size-supplied two feather pillows & two synthetic pillows (could be an allergy issue with feathers)-2 very small tv's, very difficult to view tv programmes from bed-it would have been reassuring for confirmation that all electrical appliances had recent PAT certificates (owner may have this information).

I brought my own food. Lots of interesting pieces of artwork attention to detail in the decorations. Books to read things to do. A peaceful place.

Shower was very slow with a poor flow.

We received a warm welcome and the lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. The hosts had thought of every detail, including things like ear plugs and sleep masks by the beds, some crisps and tea cakes and milk in the fridge upon our arrival, even reading glasses in both +1.0 and +2.0 in case we needed them! Everything was exceptionally clean and cosy and beautifully decorated and styled. The location is also great, being near to scenic walks and also only a 20 minute walk into Church Stretton.

"We had a lovely few days walking in and around Church Streton and surrounding towns"

The host was very friendly, it was very quiet and peaceful Good location to start walks on one side of the valley

A little too far out of town with a long walk up hill Shower had a weak water flow
