B&B La vecchia quercia Home Restaurant

This is a home away from home for pilgrims on the Via Francigena. Nice bed, good shower, excellent breakfast, washing machine, optional meal freshly made by the loving host.

Make sure you see Fornovo before you check in, because once in you're not going out anymore!

The location was convenient, about 600 meters off the Via Francigena. Manuela cooked us a nice dinner. She was kind to accommodate my meatless requirement. Her chocolate cake was delicious and she fixed my husband scrambled eeggs for breakfast. We had our own bathroom downstairs. The view from our bedroom window was beautiful.

All was good.

Great stay with great facilities and a warm host. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and it’s a very relaxed atmosphere.

Wifi was not great and it’s a steep climb if you’ve had a big days walk.

I was walking the Via Francigena and this is perfectly located. I had a really nice comfortable stay and enjoyed a superb dinner and breakfast.

The host great and very helpful.a great place to stay if you are hiking the Via Francigena…home cooked meals..both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

An excellent place to stay while hiking along the Via Francigena. The facilities and the location are excellent and the hostess was extremely welcoming and helpful. We spent a wonderful two nights here. The food was delicious and plentiful and we enjoyed the company of other hikers who were also staying here. Highly recommended!

Loved the beauty, peace, host, breakfast would definitely return again.

It would have been nice to have a layer of something added to the mattress, foam, memory foam, pillow top. The bed a so hard we both struggled to sleep and woke with sore backs.

Excellent evening meal and breakfast, The owner very polite and friendly.
