"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Breakfast delicious. High quality ingredients. I liked the fruit, yoghurt and granola pots. Bacon , sausage, beans, roast cherry tomatoes and egg on a toasted bagel.

"Excellent rooms above atmospheric pub."

A friendly welcome, Lauren, Tom and Josh really looked after us. Excellent breakfast. Rooms much better than expected, very clean and spacious. Easy to park . Is a pub and has atmosphere, food very good, menu limited to burgers, but done well , with good vegetarian options as well.

We pulled up and we were a bit apprehensive, but as soon as we walked in it was obvious that this is a very clean well run establishment. The staff were friendly and worked hard to give us a great experience and the food was first class. I highly recommend the Black Dog.

"Countryside bliss!"

Owners so friendly and Inn so peaceful. Breakfast outstanding and varied. Really wonderful place to stay and we will return again.
