Ein Traum! Hier passt einfach alles! Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage bei Maarten. Er hat sich ein Paradies geschaffen und lässt seine Gäste daran teilhaben. Mitten in den Weinbergen, mit einem fantastischen Blick ins das Douro-Tal. Eine Wohltat für alle Sinne. Wir waren drei Tage hier und haben Maartens Gastfreundschaft, das köstliche Frühstück, das Barbeque, eine Weinprobe, unser schönes Zimmer, die Umgebung - einfach alles - sehr genossen. Einzigartig ist die Architektur des Hauses, die es ermöglicht, dass man aus allen Zimmern einen unfassbar schönen Blick auf das Tal hat. Es war einfach wundervoll!

Marteen Luyt, is a one person show in the area for 20 years. i was travelling alone, ended up spending several hours with him discussing everything from wine making to everything under the sky. we went out together for dinner in town about 30 minutes away. The property is magically perched on top of a hill and vineyards all around the whole glass wall is a picterusque view of meandering Duoro River and steep hills with vineyard

Wij hebben 4 heerlijke dagen mogen doorbrengen bij Maarten en dat was een schot in de roos. De kamers zijn prachtig en het uitzicht op de Douro is werkelijk fantastisch, elke ochtend weer genieten. De locatie is ideaal: midden in het hart van de Douro-regio en op slechts 30 minuten rijden van het pittoreske Pinhão. Maarten zelf is ook echt een topper; hij geeft met veel passie en enthousiasme tips over wat er te doen en te zien is in de omgeving. Absolute aanrader voor iedereen die de Douro-regio wil ontdekken!

Maarten was such an incredible host and truly went above and beyond to make our time special & gave such great local recommendations. The views were absolutely incredible and we loved our room and the breakfasts. We will always remember our time here and are so glad we went :)

The views, great views.

The bathroom is really poorly designed, no shower box. The entire space is poorly kept. Very poor breakfast - stale bread, no warm milk, not enough variety. Everything is just poorly served. The host doesn’t speak Portuguese, that makes communication difficult.

Beautiful property with excellent views in a very quiet location surrounded by vineyards. Maarten was a very welcoming host and made us feel at home and even cooked for us on the first night, food and wine were excellent. Free parking on the property.

The secluded location was a big bonus for us, as we prefer walking in nature and enjoying the views, but might be somewhat of a drawback if you want to be in the centre and close to restaurants and all. The bedroom furniture was rather cheap but the views makes up for everything.

Traumhafter Blick in einer sehr schönen Unterkunft. Der Gastgeber Maarten ist super freundlich und man kann sich dort nur wohl fühlen…

Die Lage, hoch über dem Duorotal, ist schlicht und ergreifend „atemberaubend“! Das Frühstück und BBQ ist lecker. Nochmals vielen Dank
