"A lovely find in the country but brilliant for discovering Amsterdam too"

Location: gorgeous, quiet (end October) little village on direct bus or bike route to Amsterdam or Volendam. Just 10 mins. by car to Amsterdam Noord. Good pubby restaurant with wide range on offer right next door, plus a few others within 5 mins. walk. Size and layout: perfect for a short stay, but more living area on terrace in front in summer. All clean, as new and tasteful.

The attractive(!) sliding door to the bathroom and toilet in our room is not at all insulated so a bit too intimate for some. Windows are well insulated, but if you sleep with them ajar, the busy road is very noticeable with early morning rush hour traffic.

"Fantastic short stay apartments"

Great hosts, very helpful and informative. Lovely clean, comfortable apartments.

The only drawback that we missed was a stovetop or combi microwave to do a little self catering but for 2 nights this wasn't a problem. We would return.
