Francigena BnB is on the Via Francigena. Welcoming and very thoughtful hosts. Beautiful home and garden. Quiet and super clean Comfortable beds.

Not a ‘didn’t like’ but be aware if walking the VF and overnighting here to make provision for yourself for dinner.

Location - quiet in the middle of the country. size of room. Helpfulness of host - we are walking the Via Francigena so we were disappointed to find that the local restaurant as mentioned in our guidebook had closed and it was a 5km walk on a busy road to the next source of an evening meal. Our host offered to drive us there to collect some food and wine, which we then ate outside as the sun went down and the owls called and the stars came out . Friendly cat.

Beautiful home and good breakfast

The owner of the property was very nice and friendly, he treated us like we were part of his family. Although we didn’t speak Italian and he didn’t speak English, we managed to understand each other well, he told us stories about his beloved dog and horse and he also offered to drive us to the supermarket, to be able to do groceries for dinner and he gave us access to his kitchen and backyard to cook and to enjoy dinner there. The breakfast was top - he actually drove to the nearest bakery to provide us fresh croissants and ham, which we really appreciated, but was not needed since we were expecting a more modest breakfast. We are very impressed of the hospitality and would definitely book again at Francigena if we would be passing through the region.

Everything was perfect.

Wonderful room with private entrance, right beside the Via Francigena. Super quiet. Hosts very friendly, basic but good Italian breakfast. For those walking the Via, note there is a bar 800m away or bring food as we did.

Our host were very helpful and went out of their way to assist us with additional meals and help to arrange a taxi for the following day

It was a very pretty location right on the Via Francigena. A comfortable room.

No coffee or tea, no meal options or even snacks or drinks to purchase a long hike. The breakfast was very processed and packaged. Unfortunately disappointing. we had such high expectations.
