Al Massimo 36

Perfect location next to Teatro Massimo and close to many restaurants. Great room on the 5th floor of this building. Very clean throughout, beautifully furnished dining room, lounge and bedrooms. Comfortable bed (great nights sleep) and good sized bathroom. A nice breakfast to start the day, Miriam does a fantastic job.

Not a complaint or criticism as this is an old building and obviously needs to be maintained but unfortunately the view from the balcony was restricted as scaffolding and work platforms were in place during our stay (May '24).

Location was very central. If you find yourself in front of the staircase of the theatre, go to the right handside and look straight up and it is about a few minutes walk. At the time we went it was close to a restaurant named Galloway, past a wedding dress shop. Breakfast and the service from Miriam and Valeria was excellent.

Taxi driver not really knowing where our accommodation was. Just a general hand pointing in a rearward direction. Though this is not the fault of Al Massimo 36.

The location is great! The room and bathroom is specious and clean. There is a nice living room with coach and a big table where the breakfast is being served. I came 2 hours before my original plan of a check in and despite the late heads-up , Valeria helped me check in right away! That was much appreciated The breakfast was very nice. I could leave the baggage there after checkout which was tremendously helpful. Valeria is very nice as well 😊

The strong perfume / smell in the house. For some reason the smell (good smell) in the house is super strong . .. almost like in the airport duty free perfumeries. Not a big problem , but just to be aware as some people might be not a fan of it

We booked this B&B by mistake, we wanted Al Massimo Hotel which is located on the opposite side. When we entered the staircase, we wanted to escape (the building is under renovation) the elevator to the fifth floor is a very old system, so we often had to go up and down the stairs to the 5th floor (if the last person does not close the door correctly, the elevator will not work). When we arrived at the apartment, we were pleasantly surprised, it was very nice and clean, the design of the whole apartment was very beautiful, in an old and elegant style. The owner is a very nice and polite person, all in all we were very pleased and I wholeheartedly recommend staying in this place.

Unfortunately there was scaffolding on the side of the building at the time of our visit and we had a balcony.

This was my second stay at Al Massimo 36, and going back to a place is already an indication of it’s quality. The location is perfect for exploring the town, the host is very friendly, the breakfast amazing, the atmosphere is very welcoming and there are several tiny details (such as free chilled water to refill your bottle) that make the stay very enjoyable.

What a gem! Beautifully located, very homely property with beautiful views and very elegantly decorated rooms. Very attentive and kind host. Highly recommended
