Maison Huguette

The host was amazing and kind. She made breakfast early for us to catch our train. The breakfast was a classic Italian breakfast (croissants, deli, juices, yogurt). The view and balcony of our room was beautiful.

The group staying in the downstairs bedroom was very loud, and even when they weren't loud, moving about the apartment was loud. The upstairs bedroom that we stayed in had glass doors, so all light from the downstairs came through and any one (if they came upstairs) could see in.

This is a slightly quirky but excellent place to stay. It is on the top floor of a fairly low-rise apartment block on the right just as you enter the town. There is a lift you will be pleased to learn. The signage for the place is not prominent and you can easily miss it. When your sat-nav says your destination is on your right IT IS! But travel on for 50 yards and turn right. There you will find a huge, free car-park. Park up and walk back. The property is on the third floor on the right as you come out of the lift. The hostess is very friendly indeed and takes pride in her property. Our room at the top of a spiral staircase had a lovely large balcony with a sea-view. The air-con was good and the bathroom was very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared. You can use the fridge in the dining area to chill your own things. The location is excellent. Come out of the apartment block, cross the road, nip down a short side street and in 25 seconds there is the sea, a row of excellent reataurants and once past these a promenade to the town centre (5 minutes on foot or an hour if you go via a few aperol spritz along the way). All-in-all this was very good value for money and would highly recommend it.
