Made in Sicily Santa Tecla

We had a wonderful experience at Made in Sicily, thanks in large part to Giuseppe. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast he prepared was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavor, and the perfect start to each day. If you visit Sicily, don’t miss this place — and if Giuseppe is there to welcome you, you’re in great hands! ❤️

Very comfortable, quiet area but a small beach next door (practically). Easy drive to Catania (antique market) or Taormina. Also to Acireale for great dinner. Now that I think about it, we shouldn’t have left. Also easy to Giardini Naxos and Pirata beach. Honor bar for a glass of wine etc. great breakfast

I now understand why Giuseppe gets all these great reviews. Fantastic host and amazing breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea. Spacious rooms, very clean, property nicely decorated. No problem with street parking.

In general our stay at this hotel was amazing from beginning to end. First, Guiseppe is a perfect host, he's friendly, knows everything about the region and just a cool guy. We felt like home from the very start. The location is simply fantastic, you'll see it when you enjoy the breakfast (guiseppe provides the mother of all breakfasts) on the terrace.

Giuseppe was the absolute best host you could ask for! He gave us so many great recommendations on food, drinks, excursions and sight-seeing. The breakfasts he made each morning were mind-blowing! We looked forward to the breakfasts every day. All of the food was traditional Sicilian food freshly prepared by him. We spent my birthday there and he even made me a small cake, how sweet! There isn’t much in the little fishing town but there is plenty to do in the towns nearby. We spent one day visiting Mount Etna which was incredible! He also suggested a cooking class that we did and it was so fun! We highly recommend staying at Made in Sicily where you get authentic Sicilian food and hospitality :).

Not much to do in the towns nearby but again, there are many things to do in the surrounding area.

This property exceeded our expectations in all ways possible. What really pushed me to book this hotel in the first place were the outstanding reviews I saw; now I can confirm they are all true. Here are a few reasons why this was the easiest 10/10 I had to ever give: - Location: situated in a tranquil area in Santa Tecla, this place was just a few minutes away by car from the busy carnival event in acireale - it was a perfect balance between enjoying a peaceful night and still being able to experience the beautiful Carnival events. We were also able to drive to several other locations nearby such as Mt Etna, Taormina, Catania and shopping outlets. Parking near hotel was not a problem. There are several restaurants nearby with some delicious fish options. - The place: I cannot but highly praise the way the place is furnished, with intricate detail that gives you a warm Sicilian welcome. The same goes for the cleanliness of the whole place - spotless to say the least. - Breakfast: photos don't do justice, for the taste is authentic, prepared with love from fresh homemade produce and heartwarming. Simply amazing! - The host and staff: last but not least, Giuseppe was essential in taking all the above to the next level. He made himself available to contact immediately after booking and was so welcoming without being intrusive. He ensured everyone was comfortable and was always ready with tips on how to make our holiday even more exciting. All the staff were lovely and helpful.

Giovanni is an incredible host, going out of his way to be of help. The location is right by the sea, and breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the sea. And what an amazing breakfast it is! The staff is super friendly as well. Our room was spacious and had all the necessities. Santa Tecla is a small fishing village. A car is very advisable.

While the room was spacious, the furniture could have been a bit more comfortable.

This is a little gem in Santa Tecla! Exactly as described by the owner and others! No exaggeration. You fill like home away from home. Super warm welcome by Giuseppe, the owner. One of the best views I have experienced. And you can enjoy the swim I this turquoise water. Great home made food prepared by Giuseppe and his wife and excellent service. If you need a thorough and authentic guide of Sicily, the owner is the guy who will navigate you. He has recommended several places to visit and eat. It was right on point. Can't say enough. Thank you and will definitely go back. Most relaxed vacation I've had visiting Sicily and Italy!!!
