GaVi Sorrento

Breakfast was not included (there is a lovely, very reasonable cafe a few minutes walk away) Our stay was very comfortable, very clean and lovely bedding, comfortable bed. The owner is very helpful and kindly took us to the railway station for our onward journey. The property is in a very nice residential apartment block, has a small balcony. The site is very secure and is only about 10 minutes to walk to the centre of Sorrento.

The room was big, comfortable, clean, we had our own balcony. There was a coffee machine and capsules to use plus some packaged toasts with jelly and Nutella to spread on. We were able to start the day relaxed on the balcony before heading out. The bathroom was very comfortable and clean as well. We loved that the place is so close to everything! Walking distance from the main points, so very convinient. And we loved Rossana who as soon as we arrived made us feel like home and gave us GREAT recommendations of places to go to eat (which were SUPERB!) like Cantinaccia dei Popolo for great pasta and Capri Blu for the best pizza we have had so far. She was always one text message away and always very proactive to help us with whatever we needed. We would go back and recommend to everyone!

I liked everything. But we were surprised that when we arrived to the building, it was a room (with private bathroom and all like I mentioned before) within a room. So you go inside and it’s like a massive room with more private rooms inside divided by a hallway. I stayed one time in a hotel like this in Rome, and I know they are amazing, but it was a bit of a surprise at first. But like I said: all was amazing here! So it’s not something we didn’t like, just that we didn’t expect it.

Rosanna was an excellent host. She was extremely helpful with tips on transport and places to visit. She has a great personality and we very much enjoyed her company. The flat itself is in a quiet residential area which is convenient for the centre of town. You have your own separate room, with lockable door and private en-suite bathroom. The room has been done nicely with a modern décor. There is a great bakery, Monica, nearby. The is a small supermarket near one of the gated entries to the site with friendly staff.

This property was very clean and modern, very close to the main Sorrento square too with a 10 minute walk. The host was also very kind and helpful upon arrival, she even gave us a free bottle of wine with a few snacks.

It wasn’t mentioned that the flat was also shared with her own home as well as another room for others to stay in, despite this we still had a lock on our door to feel comfortable enough.
