The location of the apartment is absolutely great, in Salernos Old Town, very close to the Cathedral, the sea promenade, the main street and a lot of marvellous shops and restaurants. You can get groceries and local specialities in the nearby supermarkets. The place itself is absolutely quaint, safe, quiet, comfortable and clean, with large comfy beds and spacious bathrooms. You also have a fully equipped big kitchen with free coffee or tea. Our host, Giuseppe, was thoroughly kind and helpful and provided us with all the necessary details about the apartment and the area. We totally recommend the place and look forward to come back again :)

We spent five nights in this apartment in Salerno and found it to be excellent value for money. The location was perfect, set at one end of the old town — in our opinion, the best part — ideal for anyone wishing to explore the historic centre on foot. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, very spacious with high ceilings throughout, and well equipped with good room facilities. It is part of a quiet, well-maintained building, which made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. There is also no staffed reception, so guests are largely left to their own devices, though the host was very responsive and easy to reach via WhatsApp whenever we needed assistance.

A few things are worth noting for anyone considering a stay here. The apartment is located on the second floor, and there are quite a lot of steps to climb. While it was ok for us, it may not suit guests with mobility issues. The towels provided were very thin, almost like bed sheets, and could be improved. Only two toilet rolls were provided initially for our five-day stay, but when we requested more, they were promptly supplied. The shower gel dispenser also ran out of gel on the second last day. It is not possible to cook or even heat food (we would have liked this), as the gas cooker is disconnected and there is no microwave. These are minor issues that did not really detract from our very enjoyable stay in this lovely apartment.

Sehr große hübsch eingerichtete Zimmer in einer großzügigen Altbauwohnung. Zentrale Lage, so konnte man die Altstadt und Strandpromenade direkt erreichen. Küche teilt man sich mit anderen Gästen, was kein Problem war. Den Gastgeber bekamen wir nicht zu Gesicht, allerdings funktionierte die Kommunikation über Whatsapp sehr gut. Den Nachfragen wurde direkt nachgegangen. Wir bedanken uns für die Flasche Prosecco :-)

Leider funktionierte der Herd nicht und die Kaffeemaschinen waren auch nicht wirklich funktionsfähig.
