B&B Al Giardino

Das Frühstück ist für sizilianische Verhältnisse super! Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett - sprechen aber kaum Englisch, dank Übersetzungsapp klappt die Kommunikation aber super. Der Eigentümer hat uns mehrmals ins Zentrum von Monreal gefahren, da der Aufstieg sehr steil ist. Nach Palermo kann mit dem Bus fahren. Wegen eines Generalstreiks fuhr dieser aber nicht, der Eigentümer besorgte uns ein Taxi.

Den tollen Pool mit Aussicht bis Palermo darf man nur mit Badekappen verwenden, die im Zimmer ausliegen. Mit Kindern etwas aufpassen, es stehen überall wertvolle Dekogegenstände herum.

De locatie en de B&B in Monreale was ideaal. Een dagje naar Palermo is dan ook makkelijk georganiseerd met de bus die ieder halfuur komt. Theodorus zette ons af bij de bushalte. Het huis is net een Museum waar je doorheen loopt.

This B&B is beautiful. The wonderful landscape and house get you from the first second on a vacation mood. Our room and bathroom were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent: great options for protein, cereals, fruits, veggies, cakes, breads, spreads and beverages. But the best part were the hosts. Very kind, friendly and attentive to all our needs. The host gave us a ride to Monreale and very precise indications on how on where to catch the bus to Palermo and back. He also gave us a list of restaurants in the area of Monreale that are “less touristy”. It was great. Location: this B&B is located in what in “United States” standards would be a close-in suburb of Palermo. The house is located at 10 minute drive from the center of the town/neighborhood of Monreale or a 10 minute hike straight up. The hike down was easy and probably going up as well but, we got a car ride. The bus ride to Palermo on a Saturday in November was 35 minutes long. We also took a shared cab with another couple. The cost was $40 ($20 each). We were happy with both riding experiences.

Zeer ruime kamer in villa met ruime en verzorgde tuin. Prima bedden, badkamer helemaal in orde, ontbijt ruim maar veel ingepakte dingen, misschien omdat er ook maar 3 kamers waren. De eigenaar vervoert je naar Monreale, ligt op een paar km. Terug komen is te voet.

Alles is overdadig gedecoreerd. Te nadrukkelijke aanwezigheid van de eigenaars.

We had a wonderful one-night stay — the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The host even offered to show us around and drove us to the town center, which was such a pleasant surprise. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we truly appreciated their hospitality. Highly recommended!

Everything was great

Tout était très bien, l’emplacement, l’accueil et le confort dans la chambre.

Nous regrettons que le petit déjeuner n’ait pas été proposé, d’autant plus qu’une salle était prévue à cet effet et que d’autres occupants présents en bénéficiaient eux. Nous l’avons constaté lorsque nous sommes partis le lendemain matin.
