B&B A Casa Di GioSi

Amazing host! Such a lovely family who make your stay extra special. Breakfast and coffee in the morning included. Giordano send me information through WhatsApp about how to get to the place. Within 30 minutes from landing at the airport I arrived to the place. The room had beautiful high, decorated ceilings and large windows which you could open and look at the square. Bathroom, internet, everything was fine. The city and main attractios are in walking distance. Very easy to take a bus to the beach as well. I could message any time and he helped me with everything. Gave me tips about where to go to dinner or which bus to take. I could even leave my luggage there after check out to enjoy my day without having to carry my luggage. I had a great time, thanks to this family and would definitely recommend to stay here and enjoy Catania.

The host was very responsive and helpful. Bed was comfortable, place clean. Very good value for the money.

As stated before you can hear everything inside the apartment and outside on the street. Best advice is to bring ear plugs. This place has no refrigerator or coffee pot (although a plastic water heater was provided for my tea upon request).

A very pleasant and helpful guest, Giodano helped me understanding the system for the parking in the vicinity. He was very friuendly with us. The location is very good, just a few hundred meters from the (touristic) restaurant strett, and surrounded by non-touristic but still very nice restaurants. Just a few minutes walk to the main attractions. Breakfast was sufficient in quantity, if not the finest for Italy. Huge bedrooms, clean bathrooms.

Unfortunately, the main gate of the building where the B&B is located is extremely loud. So we were all awaken early by the repeating closing of this gate. Not everyone (not a problem for us) would like to get out of the bedroom, cross the corridor to reach the bathroom/restrooms.

private toilet / bathroom is not in your room. you have to walk through the common area to reach your toilet which is not most optimal. the toilet / bathroom needs more hooks or a shelve to be more user friendly.

Rooms are spacious but simple but since I'm a simple man i can live with that. Location is great and close to Catania main street, only about 5 minutes walking. The area itself is lively and all essentials you need are nearby. Central station of Catania is also about 10-15 minutes walking, from there it's easy to travel to other places, a bus stop is within 30 meters from the accommodation. Bed was ok, not to good either and a bit too short for me. I'm 1.88 meter long and couldn't sleep straight in the bed which was not really a problem for me only a bit annoying and needed to get used to.

The room could have used a small fridge in the room, also some cutlery like a fork and a knife would've been nice to have in the room. The big downside for me was the bathroom. The bathroom was not really clean, some hairs on the wall, and the shower-bath was dirty to. The shower area is small. the biggest downside was that the showerhead falls down when you're under the shower. After it falling 2-3 times on my head in the first days i mentioned it to the owner. Unfortunately, he didn't take it very seriously and didn't fix it. During the last days of my stay the shower felt very badly on my head, which gave me a headache. Now I'm back home i went to the doctor since the headache didn't get away and he told me i have a concussion. Towels are also not changed until you ask for it yourself. I also didn't like that a late checkout was not allowed and also storing my luggage for 4-5 extra hours in the accommodation was not allowed. A very bad end of a great holiday for me.

Nice clean room and bathroom. Good localization. The hospitality and help of the owner at every step is amazing. I highly recommend! Giordano thank you so much for everything!

Breakfast was good but I would have add also some fruit as an option and more variety as alternative to milk.
