Casa Mariannina

In centrum gelegen van Maiori dus alles te voet bereikbaar. Propere kamer, propere lakens, alles zeer netjes. Het poetspersoneel was veel vriendelijker dan de host.

Kleine badkamer. Moeilijk met de auto bereikbaar, maar dat geldt voor alle steden aan de Amalfi kust. Parking enkele straten verderop aan 25 eur per dag. De ontvangst was niet hartelijk maar eerder zakelijk. Weinig info bij aankomst. Midden in het centrum van Amalfi gelegen, hou dus rekening met veel nachtlawaai. Eerste verdieping boven een restaurant, dit gaat gepaard met het nodige lawaai bij de dagelijkse opkuis na de openingsuren.

The room was lovely and clean with a fantastic shower and a cute little balcony looking up to a church bell tower. The room was also cleaned daily which was an unexpected bonus. Casa Mariannina is also located right in the hike of the lemons which is super convenient if you doing that walk! Close to beach, eateries and supermarket and only a short walk away from the ferry port which is great when doing day trips along the coast. Fabulous beach as well! Antonio was our host and he was friendly and super helpful and great at communication.

Nothing! but a little note if staying in a garden view room the bell tower chimes regularly. It wasn’t a problem for us but good to know beforehand:)

Excellent location, just a short walk from both the beach and the center of Maiori, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is also very close to public transportation, including the ferry and bus stops, making it easy to visit Amalfi and explore the rest of the Amalfi Coast. The moment you open the door, you can immediately smell how clean the place is. The charming décor perfectly captures the atmosphere of the Amalfi Coast. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We arrived much earlier than expected, and since our room was already ready, she allowed us to check in right away. She also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit in the area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Maiori and the Amalfi

Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience. Communication was practically nonexistent from the moment we booked. We notified the property of our arrival through Booking.com and received absolutely no response. No check-in instructions, no directions, no information about the property, nothing. When we arrived, the situation became ridiculous. The main entrance door was left unlocked, there was nobody there to meet guests, and several rooms were marked as available. One room even had a key waiting inside. With no instructions and no staff present, we reasonably assumed it was our room, especially since it matched the photos on Booking.com. A few minutes later, a woman stormed into the room screaming at us in Italian to get out. Not speaking firmly, not explaining the situation—screaming. We were treated as though we had done something wrong when the confusion was entirely caused by the property’s complete lack of organization. At no point did she apologize for her behavior or acknowledge that guests might need clear instructions when arriving at an unattended property. What made it worse was her attitude. She repeatedly implied that “this is not how things are done in this country,” which was both insulting and absurd. We had spent a month traveling around Italy and had been welcomed everywhere else. This was the only negative experience of the entire trip. The room itself was not the main problem. The problem was the hostility, the chaos, and the complete absence of professionalism. A hospitality business should know how to communicate with guests and resolve misunderstandings politely. Instead, we were greeted with shouting and blame. This experience completely ruined our impression of the property and negatively affected the next several days of our vacation. There are many places to stay in the area—choose one that actually understands the meaning of hospitality.

The staff were lovely, from the owner to cleaning staff. Super friendly and helpful! The location was also amazing, only a few little steps compared to the thousands you’ll take in the Amalfi Coast. Close to nice restaurants, bus stops, and beaches. Very cozy rooms, decorated so nicely and welcoming.
