good location to relax

Hotel on the beach . Room spacy. Dinner -as you wish. On weekends life music. Before visit to Sri Lanka , I find out a lot off information in chats about visiting places . But decided to book everything when arrived to Hotel. And I do not make a mistake. Hotel owner everything offered and prices the same . So I have seen a lot of more than decided to see. City Kandy, elephants , turtles , tea manufacture, fishing in deep sea , temples ,folk dances. And everything with guide . Really it was one off the best places for holiday. BR Ovidijus

Nilantha and his staff gave every effort to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. They even helped us Aussie beginners fix up our Sri Lankan/Indian outfits for the wedding we attended at a nearby resort. The hotel is on the peninsula's best little beach - a quiet, almost private cove. We really enjoyed the hospitality, especially on our first night when a musician/singer entertained us all for free over dinner, and people of all nationalities enjoyed a dance. Then there's Nilantha's community work. His hotel helps support 2 local orphanages (a humbling experience to visit) as well as other local micro businesses. We encourage people to stay at the hotel and support Nilantha's charitable endeavours.

This is a family run business. They really try hard to make you feel comfortable, nothing is too much trouble for them. All very friendly from owner to staff. Its a quiet location, right by the beach. So you can hear the waves at night if you happy to open the balcony door ( which risks some mosquitoes coming in, but you can use repellent). Day time you can relax in the shade on lounger right by the beach and enjoy a shake or whatever as hotel right behind you. Its not the most beautiful beach, but its perfect if you only have a few days to spare and want to be close to Colombo. You can also make day trip to Bentota, which is a beautiful long beach, only 20-30 minutes drive. Or you can roam around Kalutara beach and explore.

On first night they had the music from the outside bar quite loud, but I went down and asked if it could be turned off- which they did. You want to enjoy the quietness of the place, there is no need for music at night. You can tell them and they will turn it down or off. Really, the bar is not necessary in that place; it just spoils the atmosphere.

The owner and all the staff care about making your stay as perfect as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. We went for the all inclusive but wasn’t expecting to be able to order whatever we wanted off the menu, whenever we wanted. Incredibly relaxing break.

Nothing about the hotel but be careful if you go to a herbal garden.
