VOGEL NEST

Host family were so lovely and welcoming and always checking in (but not too much) , and helped organise our onwards journey and anything we needed in the stay. I also had a surf lesson with Suresh two days in a row which was fab! The location is excellent, away from the noise of the road, it's lovely and quiet but still only a 5 min walk to the beach and 2 mins to cafes. The ac worked very well and also the room stays cool even after you turn it off. Hot water was great too. We stayed 10 days in total and extended our stay! Would reccommend.

My brother and I had a room each, one room had a super comfortable bed, the other one was a quite a bit harder, would be great to have a topper on that one. Just a suggestion. Otherwise it's 10/10.

Very clean, excellent sitcom & warm water. Host was extremely helpful organised tuk tuk & bike rental at very reasonable prices. Would stay again, thank you Boss.

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable and clean hotel. It has a good AC and is very well placed near to the beach, but away from the main road!

Lovely owners, great location, great a/c and very clean rooms with good mozzie nets. Would definitely recommend and come back.

The hot water was pretty temperamental and the beds pretty hard, honestly great though

A beautiful homestay run by a lovely family. The room I had was spacious and clean. You can tell that everything was picked with love. The pillows and sheets are of good quality, the water pressure is great and the shower gets hot really well. Everything is super clean. The location is also fantastic. A bit off the road, so it's nice and quiet and only a 5-minute walk from the beach. There are plenty of options for good food within walking distance. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness! I will definitely be back, 10/10. Note: the location on Google Maps is not correct. If you walk across the train tracks you will come across Surfing Wombats Hostel quickly at the right hand side. Take the first path to the right, Vogel Nest is on the left after +-150 meters.

Clean room, Mosquito net. Nice host who provided coffee on arrival. Quiet location, but only a couple mins walk to the beach. Nice seating area outside the room.

Very weak cold shower - hardly any flow at all...some small shutters which can't be closed allows mosquitos in. Glass door let the light in. Would be good to have a water refill unit to avoid using bottled water.

Lovely lovely family that own this place! Felt so at home & comfortable . We had the twin room, was very clean & nice. Shower was great & very hot. Only thing I’d say is the room gets quite stuffy and not super airy as no natural light in our room. Wasn’t anywhere to hang our swimwear & towels etc. We didn’t have any personal outside space like a balcony but doesn’t really matter when you are outside everyday! Overall Really great location & lovely hosts.

The hospitality honestly out of this world. The family makes you feel so welcome and they are all super helpful. The breakfast was great and endless supply of food. The most endearing and charming hosts. You feel like you have teleported back to your grandparents house as a kid. An absolutely memorable stay.

I had a great stay in Vogel nest. It’s a really comfortable property in a secluded location off the main road. It’s run by a sweet family who are very helpful if you need anything or have any questions

Our hosts were supremely accommodating and flexible, with brilliant tips for the local area - Suresh is also a fantastic surf instructor if you'd like lessons! The location was perfect, being tucked away from the main road but within minutes of the nearest beach and surf breaks. Our room had everything we needed - good aircon, comfortable beds, a powerful shower. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
