City Paradise Dambulla

The room was clean and the have lockers, AC and towels. Quiet place.

I didn’t feel very welcome and the price was a way too much for a dorm.

It was a last minute booking but they were ready for me, flexible in the check in and check out! The room is clean, big and new! With AC, ventilation, good light! The hotel is a really green paradise in the city! The family has a huge backyard garden ideal to escape the chaos of the main road who is literally 1 min away! Good breakfast (and welcome “rice and milk ;)! Special thanks to Paaraa: from the recommendation of the laundry, to the bus info, the tour of the garden and especially the Tuk Tuk driver you put me in contact with: it makes my short stay in Dambulla one of the best part of my stay in Sri Lanka :) I had to work and the WiFi did not work properly the whole time so consider working somewhere else in the city: in the area the connection is not working well , generally speaking!

I stayed in the shared dormitory (4 beds), it was nice, with a large bathroom, large lockers, confortable beds and efficient AC. The host is very friendly. Breakfast is very basic. Overall, the quality over price ratio is excellent.

+ great place to stay and rest + they have a big green garden, and although it is close to the road, it is pretty quiet + banks with ATM and Western Union at a few steps away and supermarket at less than 5 minutes walk + bus stations on the main road at about 5 minutes walk away + the host can arrange for tuk-tuk at very good rates + good A/C and powerful fan + mosquito net over bed + big room and big bathroom, both very clean + hot water with instant heater + good breakfast + very helpful and informative host, with good English + good WiFi

After I forget 2 items in the room, the owner informed me and took the trouble of sending the items through other travelers who are to meet me in Ella. During the whole incident she kept me informed. A real green hideaway in the middle of the town.

A true oasis amidst the noise of Dambulla

The location is great: right at the main street and close to the bus stop, but still relatively quiet due to the big beautiful garden. The family is super nice and caring. The breakfast was delicious.

It didn't bother me, but there were some animals in the room: mosquitos, lizards, frogs, spiders... There are nets over the beds, so you can sleep without worrying. Only if you don't like animals or are disgusted by them should you know this beforehand. The room quickly becomes very humid if you don't leave the air conditioning running.

Very friendly host. He arranged tuk tuk for us and kept our luggage for half a day. Beautiful and convenient location, the host has his own garden with fruit trees and plants. The room had AC and was clean with new bathroom.
