City Paradise Dambulla

Affordable place for transit travellers looking for clean bed in your own private room with very kind host and family. We had a good rest to refresh to keep on moving the next day 👍

We are traveling around Sri Lanka in a rental car - pretty much a road trip! City Paradise Dambulla suits us well in terms of location and budget for someone like us who just wants to clean up and clean bed to rest, then get ready on the car the next day. The kindness and efforts to help out from all the members at City Paradise Dambulla are very impressive making our first trip in Sri Lanka wonderful - thank you :)

I had a very nice 3-night stay in this small, family guesthouse. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bathroom & shower were among my best in Sri Lanka! There is hot shower with great pressure, good ac and even a ceiling fan. I also liked that there is an electrical outlet next to the bed. You can tell that a lot of care goes in to making this a comfortable and safe place for guests. While the location is in the city, it’s back from the busy street so you don’t hear traffic and street noises. The location is also close to the bus stops and there are always a lot of tuk tuks nearby. I was pleased with the driver that they arranged for me for touring and I felt that all the prices were extremely reasonable, including for laundry and delicious dinner meals. I’m happy to recommend this place and Dambulla for your visit to this area! I would definitely stay again.

The only downside was the WiFi was inconsistent, sometimes working fine and other times not working.

Central location, very close to bus station with big garden. Nice place that is relatively quiet. Friendly family with good advice: visit the vegetable market and enter bus one stop before bus station if you want a seat.

The entrance to the resort was a bit messy since they are building a new house there.

Everything was amaizing. Host super nice, Room was clean and Location very good.

The owner was lovely and helped us with all our requests. Food was delicious, and the hotel is very nice and clean. Thank you so much again!

I liked the location. In the center of dambulla, but quiet and calm, as house is away from the road. Family was helpful and gave me some tips during my trip.

Breakfast was too simple and the same every day. Everyday I had at least one frog in my bathroom. It wasn't big deal, but I had to catch them and throw away the house. Room was a bit dark.

Our hosts were a really special family, they were so warming and helpful. They helped us with the organization of the tours to Sigirya, Polonnaruwa and a Safari in the near national parks. They made us really satisfied about out trip in Dambulla
