"I would recommend if you want a nice and quiet place to stay."

We booked this last minute because of a bad couchsurfing try and the owners were super nice, the place is clean and the beds are very comfortable.

Everything was great, except maybe the room was a little cold, but there were heaters and extra blankets.

Our hosts were lovely and we had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was great and there is a kitchen available for use for other meals. The location is very handy to the pier and an easy walk from the North New Brighton Community Centre.

"The perfect place to stay in Christchurch. In New Brighton."

It’s really a great place to stay!! I am very grateful to Val who looked after me so well!! She even gave me very very good indications about Rugby, which was wonderful to take a great memory for my son at home, in Madrid Spain, who is rugby fans. The room and the whole building really amazing. Thank you very much for having made my stay so unforgettable!!

"Value for money"

Can't beat the value for money. The place is huge, with a big lounge and dining room, and well decorated. It's like staying in an art gallery. Hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was great. It's a short drive/walk from a beach and pier that were lovely.

There are no screens on the windows, so there were a few insects in our room (easily removed, and easily dealt with by closing the window, but they were open when we arrived).

"Great hosts and stay."

It was a great location for what we needed to do. The first night we had an ensuite, which was good. The next night the ensuite wasn't available and we had a room with shared bathroom. I was hesitant but found them to be clean and a great lay out. There were plenty of showers and toilets. I felt safe at the place. Great facilities for those who are traveling a lot so you could prepare food. Plenty of fridge space. Security and entry were easy.

The first room smelled musty. The second room was great.
