Great value stay, very cosy and comfortable. Everything felt easy and welcoming. Great nights sleep, very quiet, and a nice breakfast. Would return :)

"Great value with added bonus of breakfast."

Good value. Free parking. Pleasant hosts. The breakfast was a nice addition and we had access to a shared kitchen. Good for a one night stay in Christchurch.

Older apartment and furnishings. Small bathroom. No AC.

"Lovely old convent converted to guest house"

Lovely place with lovely hosts and other guests. A short walk to the beach and various shops and eating places. Just what we needed.

"The Pier Lodge is a quaint stay with a decent breakfast if looking for a budget price."

Our hosts were friendly. The Lodge is located within walking distance of a public beach area. It was a good stay for a one night resting point.

The rooms had carpet flooring which were moldy smelling probably due to humidity. While airy with large windows fans were needed for rooms when facing the sun. The upstairs exit door to the cars was left open to the main bedroom hallways at night.
